Imperfect Home Tour: Girls' Bath

Today's tour is pretty boring--I'm sharing my girls' bathroom.  There's not much to it--it's pretty small and has presented a few challenges in the design/decorating category.

Several years ago, I removed the floral border and painted the walls a soft yellow-y taupe, but it never grew on me so I repainted a few months ago.

My dad had an extra light fixture on hand and installed it for me.  I was glad to get the old, dated vanity strip-light down.

I love these soft coral-pink bath towels.

I'm a Scentsy junkie and have a plug-in in each bathroom.

My rose bush is blooming like crazy and I am loving it--roses in every room!

I framed one of my Instagram photos to add a little smidge of pink for a girly touch.

This space is very tiny so I took out all of the dark colors I had around and added very light elements and soft textures to make it feel bigger.

  • wall color: Valspar Woodlawn Snow (eggshell finish)
  • shower curtain: Target
  • BATH sign: Hobby Lobby
  • rug: Marshall's
  • towels: Marshall's
replace current chrome faucet with new oil-rubbed bronze one

****Soon after this post was published, my dad installed a new oil-rubbed bronze faucet.  WOW!  What an improvement!

new flooring, furniture-style sink/vanity, claw-footed tub! :)--a girl can dream

I hope y'all are enjoying my little home tour--imperfections and all.  Like I've said over and over during this series, I'm learning to love our home and embrace it.  Too often, we compare our homes to photos from Pinterest and design blogs of picture perfect spaces.  Fight the urge along with me and try to enjoy your home by adding your touch, your style, your likes, and your story.

  1. Such a cute little bathroom. Love that shelf on the wall of the shower. I wold have never thought of something like that. I also love the light fixture and art work.

  2. I love scented hand soap a little too much! One of my favourite extras, so much better than the economy sized orange stuff.

  3. I love the shelf above the shower! Adds so much character to a usually sterile place. Love the shower curtain, too!

  4. When ever I look at your imperfect home series, it makes me chuckle… all your rooms just look so perfect ;)
