Have you quit blogging?

I know some of you have noticed that I've been few and far between these days.  Have I quit blogging?  I've been asked this question several times over the past few months.  One word answer:  No.   This blog is nearly 7 years old and it's not something I can just quit--not right now anyway. I am making some much needed changes:

I recently started a little photog business--emphasis on little.  Over the holidays, I did a bunch of family shoots and I really, really enjoyed it.  I have met with several professional photogs and "picked their brains" in hopes to try and figure out my niche within the photog world and to set some goals for myself.  I'll be sharing more on this topic in the next few days, but for now I will just say that I am happy with the direction my "very small" business is headed.

One of the reasons I bring up the photography thing is because my main goal with the business is to glorify Him.  That's my goal in life--to glorify him.  And that was the ultimate goal of this blog at its start in 2008.  So...although I'm not quitting the blog, I am getting back to the basics.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17

My joy is in Him, because of Him, and to give glory to Him--that's been the main emphasis of this blog through the years:  You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11

It's true, I enjoy a good DIY project, organizing, decorating, homeschooling, reading, etc. and I can do those things for His glory. But for blogging purposes, I'm getting back to the original intent of this adventure and will be posting more about my family, discipleship, and growing in Christ.
*Y'all know there will be a DIY or decorating post thrown in here and there! :)

In a few days Our Joy...His Glory will have a whole new look along with my photography business.  I am excited to share these new looks and changes with y'all.  For now, you can receive updates through FB:

One of my favorite things about blogging is connecting with my readers and following along.  Please leave me a comment.  I'd love to hear from you!

**Several Christmas vacay posts coming your way over the next few days! :)

    Thank you Leslie!
